[SOLVED] Used GTX 1080 Ti or RTX 2080/S?

Solution
It really depends on a lot of factors.

Are you comfortable with not having a warranty?

Are you comfortable with it being used and not actually knowing what the previous owner did with the card?

Do you want better future proofing for games that will come out in 2+ years?

If you are willing to spend $700(ish), could you spend $500 on a newer 2070s and put the extra cash towards other upgrades in your system?

Realistically, if you are looking at spending $475 (close to $500) you should be looking at the 1080ti vs the 2070s. Which would still bring up the same questions listed above. I would spring to spend a bit more for the 2070s or 2080s. OR you can wait until Ampere/big navi which is rumored for later this year. I just don't feel...

The 2070s or 2080s will produce better performance than a 1080ti. The best value between the three would be the 2070s. King_V also brings up a very valid point too, your monitor refresh rate will also play a role.
