Used motherboard for Core 2 Duo E6700

My PC is old (2006) and because I have little financial availability to buy a new one
I chose to upgrade the CPU and RAM used.

After checking the compatibility I bought the cpu corel 2 duo e6700 and also (2x2 Gb) RAM
PC2 5300 667Mhz DDR2 240PINES.

RAM memories work fine but the processor does not.
When I install the E6700 the screen goes dark.

They advised me to upgrade to bios but I can not find any upgrade to the motherboard.

In this case the solution is to also upgrade the motherboard?

What motherboard do you recommend for the corel 2 duo e6700?

Looking for motherboard used up to a maximum of 40/50€

Go to support on HP page and enter the model number of your HP computer, then download and install latest BIOS.

It is no longer possible. HP removed any software for the model from my desktop.

It will not help because HP simply stopped supporting this model.

Even if they no longer support it shouldn't mean you cannot get already existing drivers and BIOS updates for it. It just means they will no longer update the drivers and BIOS.

yes, but from what I knew this motherboard was made exclusive of asus for hp. So support for this motherboard is only the responsibility of HP.
The model is P5LP-LE (Leonite).

Then I'm afraid you are out of luck. You could however always try google to see if you can find it unofficially.

Can someone help me find a compatible motherboard? It had an Asus P5QD Turbo in sight for 45€ but it is ATX and I need it to be Micro ATX ...

You would be better of saving for whole new system then. It's a lot if money to waste on ancient hardware for a just small performance upgrade which you cannot upgrade further.
