Hi guys!
It's been around 5 years since I was last in the gaming scene so I'm a little rusty on the value of pc parts at the moment.
I'm looking to build a pc as cheaply as possible preferring to use as much used hardware as possible. The only exception being a new PSU and a SSD, most likely.
My reason for building this pc is to play some pc specific titles such as the upcoming Baldur's Gate 3. My main gaming driver is going to be a PS5.
My main requirements are as follows.
At least 1080p (potentially 1440p).
At least 60fps average.
Nvidia cards (I can consider AMD)
intel Cpu (again will consider AMD)
Any brand mobo as long as its decent quality.
My considerations for AMD are mainly due to the fact that I always found that everything runs rather hot which as far as electronics go has always worried me and Ryzen wasn't around back when I was in the scene things may have changed.
I heard some recent i3's are very cheap new, so I'm also up for buying some new stuff if it works out cheaper.
So, the tl;dr is this.
I want recommendations on used cpu/mobo combo (prefer non amd)
I'm most likely looking at getting a GTX 1060 unless theres a good value alternative around the same performance.
I want to be playing Baldur's Gate 3 at 60+fps and at 1080p+.
Budget: as low as possible within those requirements.
