Used pc worth it?

Hey guys just wondering if this setup would be still worth buying for 500$ US

Asus P9X79 Pro LGA 2011
-Intel Core i7-3960X Processor Extreme Edition 3.30Ghz. 3.90 GHz Max Turbo Frequency [ 6 cores 12 threads].
-Airflow HSF
-16GB ram 4x 4Gb (Adata)
-1TB hdd (Seagate)
-Elsa GTX Nvidia 660 2Gb ddr5 192bit.
-Creative X-Fi SBO880 (Sound card)
-850w-Seasonic x series 80+ Gold, full modular power supply [Brandnew]

And is there any specific test I can do to make sure the cpu and mobo is in good condition. Thanks in advance!

You can run Cinebench R15 and then stress test the CPU using Prime95 or AIDA64 Extreme or OCCT. It's probably a $500 system, maybe $450.
