Are these people effing serious? Am I missing something? I keep hearing about what a great value used can be and I've yet to see it.

I got my first gpu a radeon HD 6970 for $20 used and it ran like a beast, so I'm not averse to trusting something wasn't overclocked or dropped but 10-15% off msrp for real?

I seriously doubt you'll find any deal like that ever again.

For a used high end card even 8 years old, expect to may a minimum of $75

Used RX580 8GB can be found easily for $125-$150. But a much vetter value would be a 5500XT used for $160. They are roughly the same speed. But the...

But the Navi architecture still has some legs to it because its newer. It should last you longer. I see gcn being dropped like a hot potato in terms of game support now. AMD doesnt have the software resources that optimize for those older architectures any more. I think renoir was the last of the gcn apu's too.
