Hi everyone

I just started at a new company and have been asked to help on the server. We have a 8Tb hard drive currently installed and have about 250 GB free. Using file explorer however, I see that the actual file folders only account for about 5tb of space, which means that there is about 3tb of data which is not accounted for. How can I identify these files and/or fix the issue?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

File Explorer is not a highly accurate tool.

Have you run Disk Cleanup on this machine?

But you can download something like TreeSize Free to see what files are taking up the space to get a more accurate idea.

If user has no file access permissions to some files,
then size of those files does not get counted.
