Hello. I am currently using a Radeon HD 5870 card for gaming, and yes, I know that's really old and out-dated, but it's held up extremely well over time. A friend of mine is going to be buying a new Nvidia 3000 series once available, and is offering to sell me his used Titan X for $150 Canadian dollars.
Simple question for the community - Is this a good deal given the age and price of the card, and yes money is an issue which is what makes this extremely tempting. How long do these cards usually last? I think my Radeon is 8ish years old, and it's run for probably around 6+ hours a day on average for all those years. The other components in my system are a few years newer, so I I'm fairly certain that the current bottleneck is my GPU.
For curiosities sake though...
Processor is an I5-6500
8gb DDR4 ram
