User Hive?

All,

I have an issue with my XP Pro machine....

I have five accounts on the machine; and over the last few days I have had a
wierd problem. I would log off (switch User)...and then leave the machine
for a while. Then someone else would log on (or try too) and they would not
be able to. Error message is that they have typed the wrong password. Then
none of us can log on, with the same error message! then I have to reboot
the machine...

I have had this before, dunno why! - But I downloaded something from MS,
something to do with User Hives - or something like that. It was a patch or
something.

Can anyone advise on where I could find this fix, or advise on another way
to fix this issue.

XP Pro SP2, IE6SP2, Office 2003 SP1, Norton Internet Security 2005.

TIA,

He's clueless (so am I... on this topic).

All that he does here is copy and paste.

The second link that Carey posted has some information on the most common cause for this issue. The Readme.txt file for Uphclean on the download page also has more information about the cause of these problems.
