Hope someone can help crack this...

We have a user that logs on with his own user name.

But rather than recognise him as just another user Win2k recognises
him as the Administrator.

When he accesses a file on the server it says that Administrator is
accessing it and not his user name, He also has Administrator access
to all folders on the server which is the major worry.

Exchange 2k3 says that it was Administrator that logged into his
mailbox and not his own user name. No one else has access to his
mailbox so that discounts another user accessing it and his calendar
is not shared. (We also stopped all processes to make sure it wasn't a
system tidy-up process giving us a false result).

And now for the weird part... this only happens on one machine, if he
logs in on any other machine everything works fine, he accesses files
as himself, he can't get at folders that he shouldn't and on Exchange
he logs in as himself.

It's a machine specific thing, but what?, we've emptied password
lists and checked local profiles and user accounts and still can't
work out what the problem is.

Any ideas would be greatfully recieved.

Thanks

X201:

On the machine he logs onto run:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/reskit/tools/existing/whoami-o.asp

I would then examine the user object in AD using LDP for
inconsistencies. You may want to try deleting the user account and
recreating it.
