Hello all
I know this is an old thread but after reading all sorts of replies regarding C: partition getting quickly full I failed to find a solution to my problem. The issue I am facing is with my Users folder, which is taking up ca. 70 Gb of my SSD hard disk. This hard disk was purchased like a year and a half ago and had been working quite nicely until about two weeks ago, when it started getting full for no apparent reason. Then I realised the Users folder was very big. Does anyone happen to know the reason and how to fix this issue? I've tried Disk Clean and deleting Temp files though there was not much room left in the hard disk after all.

Solution
The hidden users App Data folder is in there and can vet quite large. Esp considering rhis is where temp internet files reside.

Some downloaders default to storing in a folder within the Users folder.

Items on the desktop also get stored in the users folder so if you have some large items directly on the desktop instead just a shortcut then space can get consumed easily.

Turn on View Hidden Folders and Files and start having a peek but I would not start deleting or moving items in hidden folders without making sure its safe. If you feel the need to do it anyway, be smart and have made a backup before you begin
