Using 970 for display and sound... 3 monitors, but simultaneously using HDMI for audio...?

Hi there,

I've got a Asus 970 Strix. I'm going to be using it to run three U2415 monitors, one with a displayport, and then 2 DVI-HDMI convertors.

Given that this leaves me a spare HDMI port, could I use it to output just sound to my hifi? Or even daisy chain the audio off the DisplayPort monitor?

Thanks,
Chris

I don't see why that wouldn't be possible, not sure about the daisy chaining though.
As you plug stuff into the graphics card the available audio sources should become available in windows 'Playback devices', you will just have to set the HDMI source as default.
