I am planning to set up a second router on my home network. The original reason was to extend the range of my wireless signal. However, I would also like to continue to use the wired connection it will utilize on another device. Is it possible to set the second router up to do this? I currently have it configured LAN to LAN, but would switching it to a LAN to WAN setup allow this?

Thanks for the help!

Usually when you set a router up as an access point the LAN ports can all be used. Some routers also group the WAN port with the LAN ports when in access point mode. If your router doesn't have an explicit toggle then I wouldn't expect the WAN point to be usable.
