I am looking to buy a i5 for a new pc build but i dont have money to buy a graphics card that will beat intel hd 2500. I was wondering since games dont use all four cores if could use a core for graphics processing. I want to play guild wars 2 on a playable frame rate. I dont want to save money and get an i3 and graphics card because i also develop games for android and web platforms so i need a quad core for compiling and running virtual machines to test my programs.

Solution
Impossible to dedicate a core to use as a graphics core - both are totally different, one using shaders & what not, not the advanced technology inside a core like a decoder & ALU. You're just gonna have to get the Core i5 & hold off on the gaming until you can afford a GPU.
