I want to convert a internal SSD that I have sitting around into a external drive. I bought a case to use a usb 3.0 connection. The SSD already has a windows 10 on it, I want it as a external drive that with its own stuff on as a external and with its own boot. Will problems occur if I connect to a laptop that has it own internal SSD and boot when I set the boot to the USB on the external drive?

A Windows OS will not run from a usb device except by special software.
