So I have some pretty important stuff in my old laptop SSD, its an m.2 sata form factor (m + b key) i think its 2280, not sure. I want to put it in my desktop but my motherboard only supports M key only ssd's, i was wondering where can i find an adapter that allows me this?

Important stuff like what?
Personal files? If so, just copy them over to the desktop.

Applications? Those won't work. They'd need to be installed with the OS on the desktop anyway.

M.2 SATA converter?
There are multiple types.
USB:

PCIe:

the PCIe one you linked is M key only, can you link me to an M+B key one ?

"PCIE Adapter for SATA or PCIE NVMe SSD"
"Converts one M.2 port (M key) into one PCIe x4 interface. Converts a second M.2 port (B key) into SATA interface"

It will take both an NVMe drive and a SATA drive.

If yours is, OTOH, an mSATA config, something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/mSATA-Adapter-Card-Aluminum-Heatsink/dp/B07L8L8QMS
No, it's not mSATA, also I just learned that an M.2 M key socket supports M+B Key, does this mean that I can just put in my motherboard and it should be working fine?

UPDATE: Just did that and it's working 100%, didn't even need an adapter, thanks for the info guys!
