Hi all, posted similar threads in a few places but struggling for answers.

I have a MSI GS40 6QE laptop. I really like it, but after 3 years i'm keen to give it some extra punch.

I bought it for it's thunderbolt connectivity. Now id'd like to sort an eGPU but I don't really want to pay 300 quid for the enclosure alone.

Can I just get a different enclosure and add parts?

I mean I'd really like a cooler master H100 which is less than 60 quid.

How/or even can I, get this enclosure, and add some parts to do the same job? if so, what parts? GPU clearly but then what?

the ideal situation for me would be to chuck the power cable in there throw in the thunderbolt cable and be powered up into desktop mode with 2 external screens.

Dream situation would be to have another hard drive in there and have the keyboard and mouse etc in a few USB ports and have a true home mode and a travel mode when the laptop is away from the desk when i'm away.

any advice would be cool
