So I am completely stumped..So ATM I am hardwired into our network with an Ethernet cable getting 65MbPS Down and 6 MbPS up... Today my mom as she now works from home was saying her network for work was slow. I was like "hmm lets do a speed test". Please keep in mind we have charter which advertises 60MbPS down and 5 Up. She has 110MbPS down and 40MbPS upload?!?!?!? WTF She has a second router she is wired into.. An aerohive networking router but idk how that could be giving her more speed as we only get 60 ish from charter? I want that DL and UL!!!!!!!!!

the download speed you have is 10 to 10

the other speed is 3 to 1 more or less

that depends on the internet service provider and the contract you have

usually on your home is a 5 to 1, five times the download speed than the upload speed but each company handles this parameter diferently

it is rare to see a person wanting to upload more than wanting a big download speed

you can contact your isp and ask them if they can change this parameter and how expensive is the change

the second rounter, sounds like a optical fiber connection, yours sounds like a cable modem

Well the thing is we have charter, we are supposed to get 60 down and 5 up. I am not talking about a cable moden. I am wired into our router. Then my mother for work has the Aerohive BR100 Branch Router wired into out linksys router.

NO, the router above is tethered with an Ethernet cabled to my ROUTER, the router is then Ethernet cabled to my modem, which has the coaxial cable going into it from our cable box. so it goes [Cable box] -Coaxial Cable-> [Modem] --Ethernet cable -> [Linkys Router] -Ethernet Cable--> [Aerohive Router]
