I have a 50 - 5 internet connection on TWC, and I have a router (TG1672G/TW) that is a Modem-Router. It has been giving me many problems, so I tried to make it into a bridged modem (Which it works) and connected it to my Linksys WRT-54GL with DD-WRT installed. But I only get 16 - 5 on wireless (With Ethernet the full 50 - 5) what is happening?

Solution
Because you are using a router that is so old it should only be used to hold a door open. That routers is using 802.11g. You are actually getting pretty good speed which likely means you are close to the router.

You need a fairly modern wireless router to be able to get 50m on wireless. Even some of the early 802.11n devices would only run 25m or so.
That isn't the problem, I just want to know about the slow speeds when bridging
