I got a new rig with my new GPU 750Ti TF 2GB/DDR5 OC from MSI. I've been using the one clock Over Clock application which MSI already provides.

I have been using this app for 2 weeks now. I honestly want more performance. I have been thinking about configuring my AfterBurner.

Is this a good Idea?
Will it give me more FPS if u increase my Core Clock and my Memory Clock?

Solution
Well, yes overclocking it will usually give more fps, however there are limits, especially with a pre-overclocked gpu. so take the speed of the default overclock, and start raising the gpu core by ~10 mhz at a time, and after each time run furmark for a few minuts to check for quick problems. i would stay within ~50 mhz of the default overclock, and maybe add 10 or 20 mhz to the ram clock. after this, run furmark for an hour or 2 to make sure it is stable. also, try to keep the temps under 80c 😛

by ram clock you mean my Memory Clock in After Burner?
And thank you so much for your response :)

oh and by the way. with your process on overclocking the GPU above. Did you base it with my computer specs? Do you think overclocking my gpu would not harm my computer? (specs below)

Okay, thanks for helping me out man, if i will have problems while doing this process (which i will test now), i will consult you. Thanks once again

I was playing Far Cry 3, not at max. i had the temp of 50-51 degrees. is this normal? BTW it wasnt OC yet.

I have seen other videos on how to overclock the MSI 750Ti Gaming. Based on their Afterburner, i have seen his CoreClock ticked to max at 132mhz. Ticked as in he dragged the bar to the right side (max). As i have tried to follow him, I dragged my bar to the right side (max) i realized that mine doesnt tick to 132mhz... it reaches 1000mhz at max. So clearly i didnt go for a test.

His CoreClock Max is 132mhz in AfterBurner
While mine is 1000mhz.

Is there anything i have to change in the settings?

Okay, thank you so much for helping me out man! :) but right now. i think will try to go below 60 degrees.

i managed to go up to 50 Mhz on core with a +20mhz memory clock. Opened furmark 1920x1080 fullscreen. ran 10 mins. and i got 56 degrees tops. Should i push further?

oh and btw. how will i know when to raise my mem clock?
Since now i know that i add +10mhz to my core clock every time when i think that furmark is running with no problems.

yes, you can run furmark for days if you want, i would suggest overnight when you have your final overclock. i usually raise the memory clock not quite as much as the core clock, but idk when you need to. yes, you can add +10 mhz to the core clock as long as furmark doesnt give you any errors.

alright man, thank you for helping me out. Ill just PM you if i have more questions.
