So I want to get new ram for my PC. I have a Ryzen 1300x, but I’m going to upgrade it to a 2600x soon.

The Ram I want is “G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200”

However, when I go on the site to buy it it says “G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel Z170 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-16GVK”

And when I look at the list of specs it says “Intel Z170 Platform Chipset”.

I didn’t even know there was specific ram for intel vs amd?

My question is, can I use this Ram and reach the same clock speeds it advertises ??

Also I have a B350M Pro-VDH motherboard.

Thanks for the help.

Solution
This is the RAM that I'm using in my Ryzen 5 2600/MSI B450A-Pro motherboard. Even after enabling XMP in BIOS, I think my RAM is still running at 2400. I'm not overly concerned about that, however. The system has been running flawlessly.

You can use the RAM and it will likely work. However I cant say whether or not it will reach it's rated speeds and timings. You likely wont have the option to use XMP or AMD's equivalent with that kit so you will have to set speeds, timing, and voltage manually and hope for the best. If it doesn't hit 3200mhz stable it should at leas get close.

There are more suitable ram kits for your system, why do you want that?

I want it because someone is selling to me for a good price. He used it only for a little bit. So is there better ram kits I should look into? What would those be? What’s the point of me getting this if I can’t even reach 3200? No point in my opinion
