Hey guys, I've recently upgraded my old 6670 with a much better XFX 7970 Back Edition.

I waas wondering, is it possible to run them both together? In a non-CrossFire situation. I was thinking about making it a Physx dedicated card. If so, how do I go about doing this?

My spec are as follows, if it helps:
ASRock Extreme4 Z77 motherboard
i5 3570k
8GB Team Group Elite RAM
OCZ 700W Bronze+ PSU
XFX 7970 Double D Black Edition

Solution
"Using an AMD 7970 and a 6670 together" ... is a bad idea.

I don't think it is even possible to crossfire those cards, and if was, it would be a very bad idea. The 7970 alone is enough for 2 displays, and will give you the option of displaying an image across the two monitors.

I believe the best thing to do with the 6670 is either sell it, give it to a friend/relative or keep it as a spare.

EDIT
Wait, I'm being an idiot - NOT for a dedicated PhysX card, seen as AMD doesn't support it. I mean so I can dedicate something to it or help the main card so it doesn't take the whole load?

Aye, I was thinking of getting a 2nd display. Will it have an advantage on 1 display? Like better FPS in say BF3? I get 100FPS on Ultra already, so would it say at 10 FPS? Or does it not work like that.

It does not work like that. There is no scenario where the 6670 will increase your FPS.
