I want to run my hard drive outside of my computer in a hard drive doc. Use to be you could do that with a e-sata setup. Can you still do such things in Win10.

Thank you Calvin.
I want that external hard drive docking point for the purposes of keeping the HD handy, and cool. I use three hard drives.. One for the bank, one for Amazon and Walmart, and one to surf. My Bank and Shopping HD's NEVER see the Emails and I run checks galore to protect them. My surfing HD winds up with a bug a month/ bug a week and picking up notifications is an excellent way to get bugs. In any case I want my HD's out side my computer because the Internal HD Slots are NOT running Sata 6 coupling devices, and I want my WD's to run cooler (faster) with a direct 6 gb SATA connection running out of my MoBo. I have to build the rack, but it is here:

ALL of the HD mounts they are selling connect USB and I don't have experience with it. SATA's I do. AND, I am also reasonably sure the cable has to be a SATA 3 cable to get all you can get. And buy the grey for 6gbs, and the black for the 3.1 connection. When you are fixing.. it helps a lot.

Also.. I am now reasonably sure everything upstream and downstream from the HD is hindered with the old SATA 2 connections/connectors. Go SATA 3, and make SURE, you read the part description and that it says it is a SATA 3 connector. It is enormously fast.
