Fit it into the new pc and see if you can partition and format the disk.

What make/model drive?
If it is old PATA drive, then you'll need PCIE PATA adapter card.

As a secondary drive, sure. If it still works, and is a SATA drive.

Don't try to boot from it and run the XP OS on it.

What specific make/model drive is it?
