Using an Xbox 360 Slim SSD for PC

Hi all!

I am building an AMD APU based slim mini ITX form factor steam machine.

I am trying to connect the SSD to the computer but it's not showing up in windows. I have had a look online and apparently Microsoft have locked them, is there any way around this?

*of course I could just buy an SSD but I already own a 250 GB 360 one so I would like to utilise it

Have you tried this method?

Open "My Computer"
Right click "Computer" on the left side
Click "Manage"
Click "Disk Management" in the window that pops up
See if it is under there. You can format it from there.
