Using Apu as a Cpu?

[strike]Hello there forums. Im currently new to this so apologize for my mistakes.

Now forgive me for being a noob since this will be my pc build. As for this year, Im going to build the following pc with an Apu (A10 6800K).

Apu : A10-6800K 4.1 Quad Core Processor
Motherboard : Asus A88XM-A Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard
Memory : HyperX 12800/1866Mhz CL10 KIT
Casing : Silverstone PS08B (Black) MicroATX Mid Tower Case
Psu : (I have a 450W Psu that is still working good so I wont be buying a new one)
Hdd : (I still have a 700GB HDD so I wont be buying a new one unless needed)

My main question is that once I have enough money for a GPU , Im planning to buy a Gtx 750Ti. So can I use the APU as a CPU? I dont expect high end gaming since Ive been stuck to a laptop with 15 Fps so Im pretty used to it. I just need something that doesnt suck at a low price. // Yes I do know that the Integrated GPU of the APU will not be in use. // Wont be overclocking so a CPU Cooler isnt necessary at this point of time.[/strike]

Yes. When you add the GTX 750ti, the iGPU part of the APU will be disabled (temporarily) and the CPU part of the APU will run your computer. It may run a little bit better because APUs have limited Turbo when the iGPU is running fast.

Should be more than powerful enough to back up a GTX 750 TI and the combination should be enough to play popular games like Overwatch or even Fallout 4 (on medium to low).

APU = CPU + iGPU
You can disable the iGPU part of the APU and add a dedicated GPU e.g. GTX750Ti.
Do not forget to unplug the monitor cable from the motherboard and plug it to the dedicated GPU.
And, do not forget to disable the iGPU from BIOS.

Do you already have the A10-6800k or are you getting it very cheap? I am just wondering why you are buying an older APU when your motherboard supports more recent chips. If you're buying chips new the best gaming combination on FM2+ is an Athlon (basically an APU with no iGPU) and a mid range GPU i.e. 750ti/950 GTX/R9 380(not with your PSU) etc.

As Dustbin says, what parts do you already have? I would not pay extra for an APU only to disable the part that makes it an APU.

Care to post what you're paying for them on here? It's possible you might be able to do better. AMD's APUs are pretty weak in 2016, and are starting to show their age in a lot of games.
