Using ATI Catalyst Control Centre to stabilize ones resolution

my resolution which is suppose to be 1680 by 1050 has always been changing and i would have to manually change to the required figures always. how can i use the ATI Catalyst Control Center to stabilize the resolution so i don't have to change everyday?.

Once you set the resolution it will stay unless there was some other issue. Are you changing monitors? Some-one else using the computer? Any other errors/issues? Has this always happened? If not, when did it start?
