Using ATX 4-pin instead of 2x4 12v

Can I use only the ATX 4-pin and placed it over half of the 2x4 pin place?
The 2x4 12v power connector is supposed to power the processor
My motherboard is H81-s2pt
My processor I3-4160

Here is what the motherboard's manual says about the 2x4 connector:

If yes, I should connect it to the right or left half?

Yes, but it can only connect to the side that matches the connector. An i3-4160 draws little power.

It may work, it may not, Most commonly when doing that the four pins closest to the CPU are used but there will only be one side it'll easily insert in - use that side.

It will work; I've done that several times and it can't cause an issue with a low power CPU like the i3-4160.
