Using backup files

Hello,
About a month ago, I was fighting what appeared to be some sort of virus and I dropped my Computer off at a local fixit place. I was told that they had to Re-load Windows!First they were going to back-up on a Lexar flash drive. That done, I have had virtually no ability to call things up or get at files that were prepared prior to the re-load. Then I also had to re-load things like Turbo Tax. Has anyone been there?

Is your problem that you cannot read the files on the flash drive ? Call me fixit and find out why. And you will most likely have more things to reinstall !
