Using bluetooth headset for phone calls

So I bought a pair of Aftershokz bone conducting headphones, in part to use for phone calls...except, my Android 6.0 phone doesn't seem to want to use the Bluetooth when I make or receive a call. It's certainly paired and connected, it'll play music if I play music. I've looked through all the settings I can see that seem relevant. Any ideas? I sent an email to Aftershokz support as well, just thought I'd see if I could get a quicker answer here. :)

Maybe try un-pairing the headset and then re-pairing it. I don't know why when you try to click the checkbox for call audio that it unchecks itself. Do you have any other paired devices, like your car's navigation system? If so, does that device allow you to click on call audio? On my phone I am able to check or uncheck the call audio or media whether or not any of the paired devices are on or off (currently connected via Bluetooth or not).

As for the media audio not working, are you sure the volume is not turned all the way down?

Thanks, haven't had a chance to fully investigate this option, but I appreciate the reply!

So, I click the checkbox for Call Audio and it unclicks itself. lol The Media audio is checked, but it's not working. Though I'm noticing that the Bluetooth icon on the top notification bar isn't the connected icon, so I'm not sure what's going on there. They are paired...
