I plan to use an add-in card SSD in my PC for a new storage and easy installation. Will it affect my other SSD storage already installed? My current SSD is a SATA SSD, Team Group L7 EVO 120gb. Thank you in advance.

By add-in card I meant SSD storage like Intel Optane which I believe is in the best SSDs of tomshardware 2019.
The motherboard I am using is MSI Z170A PC MATE. heres the link for the motherboard description: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/z170a-pc-mate.html

This kind of SSD is what I intend to use: https://www.amazon.com/Intel-Optane-905P-960GB-XPoint/dp/B07CVNS851?tag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=tomshardware-thaus:en_US_18_Review_3891-20

Not this certain brand though(too expensive), but this type of SSD uses PCIe for expansion cards instead of the M.2 slot.

Not really aiming for 1 1TB size nor an Intel brand, maybe 500gb will do fine of a different brand but a decent to reliable performance.

I'm detecting a bit of "not knowing the difference" here.

SSDs, in order of price and performance, increasing:
SATA III
NVMe
Optane cache
Optane drive

You currently have a SATA III 120GB, second rate drive.

What is your budget for this, and what do you use the system for?
What OS is this on?
What other drives are currently in the system?

Not really sure on the budget I am actually looking for a SATA SSD but when I saw the add-in cards, I thought it would a more simple installation.
I mainly use my PC for gaming but will definitely be used for work in the near future.

I am using Windows 10, installed on my 120gb SSD which is the only drive I have currently.

1TB Crucial MX500, 2.5" format.

Trivially easy connection.

Thats actually one of my first choices in cheap SSDs but then I saw that "add-in card" SSD. Might
go back to SATA III then.

Still curious what would happen if we pretend that I used Intel Optane SSD without consultations while I still have a SATA SSD installed.

It would work.
For your use, the only difference you'd see is a much lighter wallet.
