I tried successfully on Windows 10 64b using Windows 7 64b from https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/products/scanners/lide_series/canoscan_lide_25.aspx?type=drivers&language=&os=WINDOWS%2010%20(64-bit)
Just get the 64b Windows 7 version, install it, if there's a pop up to confirm using this driver, just click the button which says, "It's working anyway" or something like that. At first, there's nothing happened, but after approx. 15 minutes, my scanner suddenly making that startup noise. I was trying to scan using Photoshop, and it's working alright.
