Is there any possible way to download something remotely from my mobile/laptop using the internet connection from the device (the mobile/laptop) to my PC? It could be from any third-party application. I'm really looking for a solution and this would really help me out. I'm looking to download something from steam more specifically.

Solution

Your home internet will still see 60GB transferred, no matter if it comes directly from Steam, or your work PC.

Only way to do that is with a 128GB USB stick.

So...
Install the Steam client at work, log in as you.
Buy and download the game.
Copy the SteamApps folder to your large USB stick.
Bring it home.
Copy that game data off the USB, and into your existing SteamApps folder.

Of course...if *I*...

Now you've upped the difficulty level 10x.

Your system with Steam (the Target), would need to connect to the outside world somehow, to be able to talk to the mobile/laptop.
So why not just have the Steam PC get it directly from Steam?

Please give us a clearer description of what you have, where it is, what speeds these things connect with, and what you are actually trying to do.

So thing is.. Im trying to download GTA 5 on my PC on steam. (60Gb space)
My Internet at home is limited and if I used it. My package will be over instantly. At work, I get to use unlimited Internet at high speed.. So I was thinking of downloading using the connection from my workplace to download it to my desktop computer at home.

Of course...if *I* did that at work, I'd almost certainly get fired.

Now that you've described it, I would do exactly as USA recommends.

I live in a rural area, many people have satellite internet with severe caps. I actually let them come here and DL from my 6 line DSL MLPPP setup with no caps. Myself when I'm downloading something really big (like a server Virtual machine of a couple TB) I go to the local hospital and use their fiber connection.
