Using DDU with AMD GPU/APU

A friend of mine has some problems with the drivers on his AMD GPU (I forget which one - it's an R9 series card) and I want to use DDU.

I've never personally worked with an AMD based chipset system before. Considering that he has an AMD system (with an AMD recent FX-series APU) and that AMD systems don't have integrated chips to run on while I uninstall the GPUs drivers, will everything be okay until he reinstalls the driver that he needs?

Considering how popular DDU is, there shouldn't be any problems (I would assume).

yes after removing the drivers it will revert to 640x480 not a problem then install appropriate driver

It will uninstall everything in Safe Mode, then on reboot Windows will load its generic drivers like Microsoft Basic Display Adapter just as if you've installed the card and booted up for the first time.
