Hello, I am planning to build a powerful computer with four dedicated Nvidia GPUs to do computationally intensive research using CUDA. If I also want to use a 4K monitor, what suggestions do you have? I suppose connecting a 4K monitor to one of these GPUs will slow down the computation. Am I correct?

Solution

you could simply run the monitor off the cpu or mobo built in for free (if it has one ) most newer stuff can display 4k

if i remember right the loss of performance for simply running a 4k monitor for windows tasks is almost so low as to be negligible
