Hi All :hello:,

First Post here. Hopefully a simple question but one i have not been successful in clarifying...

I have a GTX 1070ti and want to know if i can use the DVI for the display (my Dell U2713HM can only do 1080p over HDMI, not the full 1440p) and use one of the HDMI ports for audio only to an AV receiver?

Many thanks for any help 😄

Thanks. I don't have a receiver that has HDMI at the moment but was thinking of picking one up second -hand so cant test it. I know many BD players do this for home cinema but still.

AV receivers with HDMI input usually have HDMI pass-through (HDMI-IN and HDMI-OUT ports).
So connections would go: pc -> av receiver(HDMI-IN), av receiver(HDMI-OUT) -> monitor.
Or - other way of connecting would be with optical digital audio cable (from audio card to av receiver).
