Using ED jewels?

Hi all,

ISTR there was a problem with Enhanced Damage jewels, something about them
not working right in certainitem types. IIRC you'll get the most benefit
form an ED jewel if you put it in a weapon, right? (if it matters, the
wepaon already has ED as a property).

Usually yes. If on weapon ED is lower than off weapon ED (str/dex bonus,
skills), then it's better to put the jewel in the weapon (because the
two ED types are multiplied). However, there are some strange builds
(melee sorc, sword zon, melee necro) where it makes more sense to boost
the off weapon ED, because they have no other off weapon ED beside the
str bonus.
