Settings > Network & Internet > Wifi properties > DNS Server Assignment > Edit > Manual > IPv4 enables with no problem. Enabling IPv6 > Save Settings > " Can't save DNS settings. Check one or more settings and try again.
It seems it's favoring IPv4 rather than IPv6. My Wifi is set to 5Ghz but I wouldn't think that would be a issue? I also tried using IPv6 w/o IPv4 and it still errors out. 🤔
I was able to set both by going to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center, selecting the network interface, then "Properties", then in either the IPv4 or IPv6 settings, tell it to use a specific DNS server.
Google public DNS: 8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
This works for IPv4 but trying to set this for IPv6 I get an error. Same for navigating through Control Panel. "8.8.8.8 is not a valid DNS server address"
I'm guessing it wont accept a IPv4 DNS under IPv6 . Further investigation I found that you have to add a IPv6 DNS address
