[SOLVED] Using Gparted to setup mac sierra hard drive? Possible?

Is it possible to use Gparted to setup a hard drive to allow Mac Sierra to be installed on.

If so what settings do I use? It seems like I have tried everything but when I go to re-install Sierra it shows nothing for usable hard drive to install onto.

Why?

Just use OS X's Disk Utility.

Disk utility gives me many random errors like unable to write to end of hard drive sectors, or posix error. This is a Samsung 850 Evo SSD. Works fine with windows, etc.

I had been able to partition it but then Mac said the partition was locked.

The disk is telling you something. For some reason it doesn't want to work with your Mac.
