I currently have windows and a few select games installed on SSD. I also got a HDD witch holds most of my games installed, on windows 7 OS.

Now I am soon getting a windows 8, and I was wondering if I could still use the games on HDD when the OS on SSD changes. Is this doable?

When Windows 8 is up and running you will have install the games afresh in order for the support files to be installed in Windows, and for the Windows Registry to be updated with new keys and values relating to those games. There is no way the games will run without doing that.

As to whether the games (the versions that you've got) are actually compatible with Windows 8, that's another matter.

Games on HDD means just game data, or game program files, if it is just data, you can install game on windows 8 and then load data on HDD, otherwise, you are not able to just load program from hard disk because your system need to install those games.
