Hi,
I use a video program that has been hardware optimized to use a certain Nvidia graphics cards (which I have).

I want to have dual monitors for my program and I am wondering if I can plug a monitor into the integrated (non nvidia) graphics card as my rendering window, and have that work? Any ideas?

Also, this graphics card has an HDMI out, and a DisplayPort out. Can I use both simultaneously (to either extend the desktop or as a separate desktop?) Thanks

Solution
While you can with todays GPU's there is really no performance hit running two monitors on your dedicated GPU they can handle that with no problems.
Yes you can use both ports simultaneously for different monitors, it'll just expand the desktop and you'll have to configure it in your OS. Whether or not you can use the IGP on your CPU to output to a second monitor depends on what hardware you have.

Thank you!
My only follow up is wondering if you think I can get away with using a monitor plugged into the video card of my motherboard with this program (TouchDesigner) that requires an nVidia card.

My dedicated GPU is an nVidia, I am just wondering if I can plug my "render" monitor into the built in (non-nvidia) graphics card and be able to render the images
