Using internal desktop 3.5" HDDs as external.

Hey all,
Now I have two Seagate 1Tb HDDs. They're twins, except the first is using SATA rev. 3.0, and the second is using regular SATA. First is used as everyday HDD: games, most of the software, some other important stuff. Second is only for big media: music and movies. Also, there is the system 120Gb SSD.

Since I'm planning to seriously upgrade my PC in a short time, I'll get rid of that old, big, ugly casket-like mid-tower and get some nice slim-desktop case. And there will be no place for my twins. One day I'll buy 2-2+Tb SSD, but later for sure: too expensive for me to fully upgrading the whole rig in one time. So, there will be a some huge amount of time: from the point of switching to a new case to the point of finally buying a large-capacity SSD. And at that time I want to still be able to further using my 2Tb magnetic-storage junk yard. But of course, no longer as internal, but already as external drives.

I understand, for sure, that I need some docking case. And of course, it'll be way nicer, if it was USB 3.0. But I still see all these docks only as some simple device to: attach drive, switch on the dock, transfer some data, switch off the dock, detach the drive. But that's not my scenario. I want to be able using HDDs as I use them before: non-stop, at high speed, regular use. Games, software, constant data transfer.

So I need some advice about that point. Some really good docking case, really fast, really reliable, non-stop ready, non-heating like some microwave. Some really nice, relatively cheap, some fast USB 3.0 device.

Or maybe you'll say it's a really stupid idea - USB is USB - and I'll accept that point too.
