Using laptop and projector with different screen ratios.

Hi,

A user is currently using a laptop with 16:9 screen and a projector that outputs 4:3. When the projector is connected, it makes the display on the laptop go to 4:3. Is there any way that the laptop can display at normal 16:9 aspect ratio whilst connected to the projector?

I afraid that u might need to buy a projector that can let u project out 16:9 resolution ..
or else probably no other solution ..

That reply is not exactly correct. You can have different resolutions on the screen, but not in clone (both screens showing the same thing) mode. If you set it so that the screens show different things, you can run them at different resolutions. In clone mode, both displays have to be at the same resolution, when you extend the screens over both displays, you can have different ones.
