using my old HDD which has windows 8 installed in on my new computer

so i'm going to use my old HDD on my new computer , there's windows 8 on it already , what kind of problems should i expect? do I need to format and reinstall windows?

You can set up an installed OS to move. It has to be done in a functioning system though. But as far as just yanking a drive and sticking it in a new machine, depends on the hardware.
