Using my psu without a fan-will it die?

i have a ilssan isp120si psu (120w) power supply. i am putting it into a mini itx case using a via cpu/mobo thingy. however, though its way smaller than atx, this psu had a fat fan sticking out the top. however, since its not meant for the case (the psu that used to be powering it stopped working) in order for the cover to be put on, so i removed the fan. now im trying to find a way to make this lousy little pc fanless cause the onnly fans i have are old and really loud and i want it to be silent. the only things in the system will be an old wd 20gb hard drive, 256mb ram, and the mobo/cpu (unknown cpu speed)
will my psu overheat? now theres a big hole where the fan used to be and there are vents on top of the case that line up at least partially with the fan!

Most power supplies will overheat without a fan. Why risk taking out your motherboard or cpu with a ps failure. You can get an hec 585w for only $29.99 shipped at newegg. Or my ocz 400w with 140mm fan, which is almost silent. I have to put my ear right next to it to hear it.
