using old HDD in a new setup

after 8 years of service my motherboard (g4-g41m-es2l) finally gave-up so i decided to buy a new one and upgrade a few things too.
the thing here is i want to know if i can use the windows on my old HDD (1TB) on the new rig.

i'm keeping the graphics card (gt-520) &ram (2 X 4gb kingstone) &psu (1200 watt)
but i'll change the processor the dvd-writer and of course the motherboard.

so again will i need to re install the windows again or not?

Its likely you will need to reinstall but you can try it first and see. In either case you should backup important files if not the whole drive, first.
