So, I was searching around, and read articles, but I just want to confirm...i bought an SSD, CPU and New Motherboard...im planning on installing windows on the SSD, can I just plug my old HDD to the mobo, after I install windows and will all my files be there, or do I have to uninstall windows from it before I can use it...

Solution
Hello... YES you can access/use ... leave the HD disconnected when installing the OS on the SSD... after you have your OS setup and all happy on SSD... connect the HD and boot your OS.
Windows has "security" and you have to give permission to the OS as "administrator" to use it.

Right click Computer-Manage-storage-Disk Management right click the Graphics screen below for the OLD drive... And "Mark Partition as Active"

Typically I would get all I want from the Old drive data transferred/saved... and Delete all the partitions (win OS) on it... and make a clean new DATA drive Partition for it... that's up to you B /

ok, after i save the imprtant stuff, how do i delete the partitions from it, sorry, pc noob here...

Hello... good question... because Windows has a problem deleting it's self at times...

I use a "bootable" DOS app or any Windows bootable install media. In "custom" install mode, it has "drive tools" a Dos level tool too. Deleting the Partition(s) is the fastest way to remove any "data names or location" information. After that just use Windows Disk Management, to create your new "data" Partition(s) on it for use with the OS.

I would suggest disconnecting your OS drive and connecting just the DATA Drive for maintenance, and Partitions removal... so as not make a mistake with the "GOOD" OS drive. B )
