Using old SSD for new build?

So, last month I managed to fry my motherboard, and I need to buy some new components for my computer. But I'm hoping to save some money on OS and SSD by re-using my old SSD as part of the new build, but I'm not sure if I can because of complications with different BIOSes, as the motherboard I had is not for sale anymore. So, my question is - can I just re-use my SSD for the new build without any complications? If no - How can I solve these issues?

If by reuse you mean use it in the build yes. If you mean keep running the same install of Windows on the new computer no. You'll need to reinstall when you swap boards.

You can do it only if you are using Linux OS

Using a Linux distro alows you to change Processor and/or Motherboard without problems, you can do what you said you want to do in your post.
That you just can´t do it in Windows.
