Using Playlists in DVD Workshop 2

I'm still getting used to the differences and new features in DVD Workshop 2
and have a question about using playlists. I've made a DVD of a TV show
with a lot of segments and it all worked fine but I also tried using
playlists to have it only play certain chapters as mentioned in the manual.
I put a button on the main menu page with "Play all songs" and linked it to
chapter 4 which was the first song in the program. I then added the other
chapters with songs to the playlist so it had chapters 4, 9, 13, 18 etc.
However, in both the preview and on the burned disc when I selected the
"Play all songs" button it played chapter 4 but didn't then go to chapter 9
as I would have expected, it kept playing the program and went on to chapter
5. Is there something else I should have selected or another way I should
have set up the playlist to make it play only the chapters I selected?

If I understand your post correctly, you seem to want the PLAYLIST
feature in Ulead DVD WORKSHOP 2.0 to cause Chapter 4 to play and then
jump to chapter 9, etc.

To accomplish this goal, I suspect you may have to convert these
chapters to be TITLES instead.

It is my observation - so far - that individual CHAPTERS will play -
but that they will keep playing from the beginning of the CHAPTER
until the end of the entire TITLE.

So if one has CHAPTERS 1, 2, 3, and 4, playback of chapter 1 will
commence and then automatically advance to chapters 2, 3, and 4.

Likewise, playback of chapter 2 will commence and and then advance to
chapters 3 and 4 - and so on.

So it seems to me you may need to convert the CHAPTERS to be separate
TITLES to achieve your goal.
