Using power strip for PC and air conditioner

So I'm using my power strip to connect my PC and AC. My pc is using around 500w and my AC 3,5 kW. I had no problems for 1 year until I smelled strange smell coming from my power strip... Should I connect my AC to outlet or do I keep it like this? Thanks

You are drawing way too much power through the power strip. It is literally melting inside.

That power strip is already toast. Needs to be replaced, even if NOTHING is plugged into it.

You NEVER, EVER use a power strip or extension cord with such a high draw device as an air conditioner. Unless, of course, you wish to nominate yourself for a Darwin Award.
