Using PS3 Nagivation Controller for PC w/Fallout 4 (Steam)

I was wondering if there was a way to pair up the PS3 Navigation Controller to my PC to use it in place of WASD. There are a few tuts out there but are like 3-4 years old and links to the software being used at the time are no longer valid.

If there isn't a way, is there a recommended controller/joystick that I can use instead of the keyboard? I remember a while back being able to use the XBOX 360 Wirelesss controller for my PC before. Is this still possible?

the xbox 360 controllers still work on PC with a wireless dongle on windows 7-10. i'm not sure what kind of PS3 controller you're talking about but it never had official PC support

I was able to get the Navigation Controller to work but it disabled my mouse so that was a no go. Setting up my old Wireless XBOX 360 controller went without a hitch and transitioning was seamless.
